And the medal goes to...

This week, we lost! Our tallest boy was too short for the opposing team. The offensive line was too tall for our team to see over. However, our little man would block his little heart out, get rammed to the ground, then get back up and block some more. To add a little more umph, he would put on his "game face" and growl back at the guys he was blocking.
The refs were very entertained by our #10. Bryan happened to be on the sidelines working the chain gang, and the refs come up and said, "That #10 is hilarious. He has so much heart." So Bryan thanked him and said that be belonged to him. The ref then said that he would take 10 kids just like him verses some of the other boys that he sees playing every week.
It was very nice to hear the compliments, especially since the refs talked to our coaches about Bryce at the end of the game. As a result of Bryce's outstanding playing, he received a medal for having a lot of heart and getting rave reviews by the refs. Bryce has been on a high all day. That medal is not leaving his side anytime soon!!
We have a busy week ahead. Homecoming is this week, so besides our normal practices, we have float building, parades, pep rallies, and game day on Saturday. I am already tired just thinking about it. :-)
